the snow fall, passing an exam and a baby is born...

Wow what a full day! this morning i work up and as i peered out the window, there was a light snow fall and i went straight to the opm website to check if there was a delay -- there was a 2 hour delay and so instead of going right back to bed, i just kept staring out and watched the snowflakes fall...the snow fall was quite beautiful -- just an absolutely serene image! it reminded me of when i was a kid and my sister and i used to run outside as the first snowflake started to fall...it reminded me of how much i loved going outside and feeling the snow come down on my face and then as I started to get cold I would rush back into my mom's arms and she would warm my sis and i up from cold...those times are so vivid in my mind and still make me smile! so anyways as i was watching the snowfall today, i was also checking my blackberry email from work and my friend mike emailed asking if i got the results of the cissp exam...nerves started to hit my body! i started checking through my email and yes i did get an email from isc2 and well i scrolle down and it said congratulations, you have passed the CISSP exam...i could not believe it...I started emailing people and I started jumping up and down...i was ecstatic to say the least! :)

...well the day only got better, earlier in the morning raj called me and was like saj is going into labor and so I knew today was the day that my little nephew was going to be born...YUP! how exciting...I love kids and all the little kids in our fam are so cute! raj and saj are going to make amazing parents...i talked to Raj around 6 and he told me that little Ajay Rajesh Geria was born some time around 4pm on - you guess it Valentines Day! :)

....i'm just so excited to see the little munchkin...i'll probably come and see him next weekend, until then, that sala raju better send me pix....

so overall great day...so many good things happened on this Feb 14th --- well that's all folks...i'm going to go and watch the show lost!

It's been a while

let's see, wow I can't believe that it's been a while since I have written in my blog...well so much has gone on! well I graduated from grad school! yo, I can't believe that I'm done, it surely took me some time....and then I spent some awesome quality time with my family during the xmas holidays. The kids this year seemed to have a really good time! Shirali playing her new guitar that she got -- I made a joke to her dad that next year we'll give her the drums -- haha i'm sure here dad will really like that...Avi surely enjoyed his incredibles viewfinder -- he kept changing cartridges and looking inside...Avi also loved doing his life size puzzle...Asha, the youngest, and definitely the most innocent was smiling the entire time. She's sure getting comfortable with so many people around...and lastly the little muchkin bryce couldn't make it to xmas this year because he was sick, but I was able to go and see his on xmas morning at his house. It was very cute seeing Bryce open up all his gifts and his dad and mom's gifts as well...

well that was xmas eve and xmas, and a few days later i spent my new years in Philadelphia...we had a great time at koti's party...i finally know who sang this really cool song i heard in a club the night before...i asked raj g, who sang the song because he had it in his play list and he's like dude salaaaaaaaaaaaa (yes this is our typical talk) yooooooo it's a secet...but he told me that bob sinclair sang the song and it's called Love Generation! it's has these phat tabla beats in the song...speaking of tabla beats, i've asked my parents to bring me back a set of tablas from India...i really want to take lessons and start playing!

and as i only worked two days this week, the weather here is amazing............really amazing....it's 70 degrees and today i spent part of my day in G-town...i ran into some friends, bought a few things at Zara, and chilled contemplating how on EARTH it can be this warm in Jan...is it el nino, or is it really global warming...i personally think it's a mix of both...tonight i got anish's bday party and i want to go to indeblue to say happy b to Kanchan...if i don't make it, it will be aight because i did run into her in G-town...Man there are so many birthday around this time of the year!

Anyways, that a little bit of a wrap up of my last few weeks...it's been pretty crazy....but I'm having a great time and loving life! I've been doing more yoga and working out and I've been in a great good as of late! this is obviously a good thing...

Gaudi's Sagrada Familia

Here is my pic of Sagrada Familia...it's taken in Sepia color tone...Every part of the design of La Sagrada Família is rich with Christian symbolism, as Gaudí intended the church to be the "last great sanctuary of Christendom". Its most striking aspect is its spindle-shaped towers. A total of 18 tall towers is called for, representing in ascending order of height the twelve Apostles, the four Evangelists, the Virgin Mary, and, tallest of all, Jesus Christ. (According to the 2005 "Works Report" of the temple's official website, drawings signed by Gaudí found recently in the Municipal Archives indicate that the tower of the Virgin was in fact intended by Gaudí to be shorter than those of the evangelists, and this is the design—which the Works Report states is more compatible with the existing foundations—that will be followed.
